VLOTHO REPARATUR KLEBER — a professional repair adhesive designed for fixing natural and synthetic leather products. Thanks to its strong adhesion and elasticity, it securely bonds damaged areas, allowing for high-quality restoration of abrasions, cuts, tears, delaminations, and other mechanical damages.

This adhesive is widely used for repairing shoes, bags, clothing, upholstery leather, car interiors, and other leather items. Once fully dried, it forms a strong, flexible adhesive seam that withstands repeated bending, vibrations, and daily use. The bond does not become brittle and maintains strength even under heavy use.

VLOTHO REPARATUR KLEBER is suitable for both professional restoration and home repairs. The adhesive can be applied using two methods: cold and with thermoactivation, allowing you to choose the best technique depending on the type of damage.

How to Use

Surface Preparation

1. Clean the area to be repaired from dirt.
2. Degrease the surface using VLOTHO ISO REINIGER or another suitable cleaner.
3. The surface must be completely dry.

Cold Application Method

1. Apply a thin, even layer of adhesive to both surfaces to be joined.
2. Allow the solvent to evaporate for 5–10 minutes, until the adhesive becomes slightly tacky.
3. Carefully align the surfaces and press them firmly together.
4. If necessary, use clamps or a small weight for 1–2 hours.
5. Full bond strength is reached after 24 hours.

Thermoactivation Method

1. Apply a thin layer of adhesive to both surfaces.
2. Allow the adhesive to dry 5–10 minutes until solvents evaporate.
3. Join the parts.
4. Activate the adhesive layer using an iron, heat spatula, or other heating tool at a temperature of 60–80 °C, gently pressing the surface for 5–10 seconds.
5. After cooling, the product is ready for further processing.

Note

The adhesive is designed for bonding damaged areas of leather and securing detached elements. To restore the lost surface texture after repair, it is recommended to use restoration pastes VLOTHO REPARATUR SOFT or VLOTHO REPARATUR MIDI.

Before use, it is advised to perform a test application on a less visible area of the product.

Recommendations

• Apply the adhesive only in a thin, even layer.
• Do not join surfaces immediately after application — wait for partial solvent evaporation.
• Do not overheat the leather during heat activation.
• After complete drying, remove any excess adhesive if necessary and continue surface restoration.
• It is recommended to work at a temperature of from +18 °C to +25 °C.
• Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature of from +5 °C to +25 °C, away from heat sources and open flames.

• Contains flammable solvents.
• Use the product only in a well-ventilated area.
• Do not work near open flames, sparks, or heating devices.
• Avoid contact of adhesive with eyes and skin. In case of contact, rinse with plenty of water.
• For prolonged work, it is recommended to use protective gloves.
• Keep out of reach of children.
• Use the product only as intended.
