Vlotho FARBENFIX HM Coating Paint for Heavy Leathers

VLOTHO FARBENFIX HM — professional water-based covering polyurethane paint designed to restore, refresh, and completely change the color of natural smooth leather products. It forms a durable, elastic, and wear-resistant coating that withstands abrasion, bending, mechanical stress, and moisture exposure.

The paint is ideal for restoring car interiors, furniture, shoes, bags, belts, suitcases, clothing, and other smooth leather items. Effectively covers scuffs, minor scratches, faded areas, and other cosmetic defects while preserving the material's natural texture.

The polyurethane base provides excellent adhesion to leather, outstanding coating elasticity, and durability for daily use. Once fully dry, the coating does not crack when bent, is non-sticky, and maintains its original color for a long time.

How to Use

1. Clean the surface with cleaner VLOTHO LEDERREINIGER.
2. Prepare the surface using solvent-activator VLOTHO EXTER.
3. Thoroughly mix the paint before use.
4. For items exposed to high mechanical stress (steering wheels, driver seats, armrests), it is recommended to add VLOTHO CROSS LINKER in the amount of 1–2% of the paint volume.
5. Apply the paint in a thin, even layer using a sponge, brush, airbrush, or spray gun. When applying with a sponge, spread the paint in circular motions, starting with the damaged areas.
6. Dry each layer thoroughly with a hairdryer or allow to dry naturally.
7. If necessary, apply additional thin layers. Light colors have lower coverage and may require more layers.
8. Do not apply more than 6 thin layers.
9. After finishing the coloring, it is recommended to treat the surface with conditioner VLOTHO LEDERPFLEGE.
10. If you need to change the gloss level, use finishing lacquer VLOTHO LEDERSCHUTZ.
11. Full polymerization of the coating occurs after 12 hours.

• For repairing deep damage, it is recommended to use restoration pastes beforehand VLOTHO REPARATUR.
• For repairing cuts and scratches, it is recommended to use restoration glue VLOTHO REPARATUR KLEBER.
• The final color of the coating may slightly differ from the image on the screen due to the color rendering characteristics of different devices.

Recommendations

• It is recommended to perform a test application on an inconspicuous area before painting.
• For the most durable finish, apply several thin layers instead of one thick layer.
• Do not use the item until the coating is fully cured.
• For items subjected to heavy use, it is recommended to use VLOTHO CROSS LINKER.
• After full drying, it is recommended to apply a protective finish VLOTHO LEDERSCHUTZ or conditioner VLOTHO LEDERPFLEGE depending on the desired result.

Storage

Store in a tightly closed container at a temperature between +5 °C and +20 °C.

Avoid freezing and exposure to direct sunlight.
